Changelog: Global execution agents now available

Know your APIs are broken before your users do.

Flowtest monitors complex, multi-step API workflows 24/7. Detect race conditions, logic errors, and downtime in production without writing test scripts.

The old way

Manual Postman runs

Developers execute collections manually before releases, causing drift and missed edge cases.

Single-endpoint pings

Uptime monitors check `/health` but miss when a 4-step checkout process actually fails.

Blind debugging

When an error happens in production, you have no payload, headers, or timing data to reproduce it.

With Flowtest

Continuous execution

Flows run automatically on a schedule or via CI/CD hooks. No human intervention needed.

True workflow validation

Chain requests, map variables from responses, and assert against complex multi-step data.

Full historical context

Every execution stores complete request/response data, headers, and performance timings.

Built for reliability engineering

A complete toolkit for testing and monitoring complex APIs, designed to get out of your way.

Visual Flow Builder

Drag and drop to chain API requests. Extract variables, add conditional logic, and set assertions without writing a single line of script.

Workflow builder

Incident Alerts

Route failures to the right channels instantly. Native integrations for Slack, Telegram, Email, and generic Webhooks.

Secure Vault

Store API keys and bearer tokens securely. Variables are injected at runtime and never exposed in logs or test histories.

Monitoring & Analytics

Track API performance and uptime over time. Dashboards provide SLA reporting and identify endpoints causing the most flakiness.

Monitoring dashboard

“I noticed our core data creation flow was taking 700ms or more, while a heavy operation like login was only 200ms. It turned out to be a poorly optimized regex in a filter blocking the thread. Thanks to Flowtest, I spotted it immediately.”

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to write code to use Flowtest?
No. The visual builder allows you to map requests, extract variables, and define assertions without writing scripts. Developers can still inspect raw JSON payloads, but QA teams can build comprehensive tests purely via the UI.
How does Flowtest handle authentication?
You can perform auth workflows (like exchanging credentials for a JWT) as the first step in your flow, store the token in a variable, and pass it in the headers of subsequent requests. API keys can be stored securely in the Vault.
Where do the scheduled tests execute?
By default, tests run on our global cloud agents. On the Team and Enterprise plans, you can deploy a lightweight Docker container (Private Agent) inside your VPC to test internal endpoints that aren't exposed to the public internet.
Is the free plan actually free?
Yes. You get 200 runs every month forever, with no credit card required. This is typically enough to run a critical checkout or signup flow a few times a day.
